NE-Series 3-Phase LI UPS to be unveiled at AFCOM Data Center World 2019

N1C is one of the first companies in North America offering such backup systems

N1C NE Series Three Phase UPSN1 Critical Technologies ( will unveil its new 3-phase, Lithium-Ion Uninterruptible Power Supply system at the AFCOM Data Center World Global 2019 expo in Phoenix, Arizona, March 21-22 (Booth #132).

N1C is one of the one of the first companies in North America to offer such a power protection product with long-lasting and space-saving internal lithium-ion batteries.

The Janesville, Wisconsin-based manufacturer will have one of the NE-Series units on-hand at the country’s premier conference for Information Technology, Data Center Facilities and IT Operations Management professionals.

“The first of our pre-orders are expected to roll off the assembly line shortly and we’ll have one of our state-of-the-art, three-phase, lithium-ion UPS units on-hand for conference attendees to see and experience,” said N1C Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer Nate Ellsworth. “This product, along with the single-phase lithium-ion UPS system’s we’ve had on the market the past year, are revolutionary in the uninterruptible power supply industry.”

The NE-Series UPS units — available in 20 kVA and 30 kVA — are the higher-capacity “big brother” to N1C’s state-of-the-art lithium-based single-phase UPS models launched in early 2018.

With a single internal lithium-ion battery, the three-phase units in the NE-Series feature run times of up to 13 minutes at 100-percent load in the 20 kVA models and up to 8 minutes in the 30 kVA models.

The single-phase “L-Series” UPS units from N1C have battery runtimes that are unmatched by similar models that use lead-acid batteries.

All N1C UPS units use stable and safe “Lithium Iron” battery chemistry, often called “LiFePO4” (lithium-iron phosphate).

The new NE-Series models — and the 7 models that make up the N1C L-Series single-phase units — use battery chemistry that is safety-tested, stable and provides superior thermal operation, allowing the UPS systems to run efficiently in more extreme environments (32º to 140º vs. 32º to 104º for comparable lead acid systems).

They also virtually eliminate costly battery replacements, lowering the owner’s total cost of ownership. Lithium-ion also charges faster and can be charged and discharged more than 1,000 times, far exceeding comparable lead acid systems.

N1C NE- and L-Series UPS models offer online, double-conversion technology, delivering a pure and steady stream of clean power and protecting from all 9 power problems.

Both NE-Series three-phase units are parallel capable, offering extended backup runtime, additional capacity or N+1 redundancy.

Monitor and control the units via an intuitive touchscreen LED display or with included software.

With a 10-year to 15-year expected operational battery life, they last up to three-times as long as the Valve Regulated Lead (VRLA) batteries they are designed to replace, and weigh less, increasing installation options and ease.

“We’re excited to increase our lineup of UPS systems with the introduction of the new NE-Series three-phase models,” said N1 Critical founder and Chief Executive Officer Nate Ellsworth. “With prices comparable to lead-acid systems, this series serves a niche in the market for customers who have high-power backup needs but don’t want to break the bank, or who don’t have the space for much larger 3-phase units and battery cabinets.”

Ellsworth is confident the NE-Series can compete with and exceed even other manufacturers’ offerings, especially since it’s one of the first all-in-one three-phase lithium-ion UPS systems on the market.

“I believe we make the best lithium-ion UPS systems available today, ones that will save buyers time, money and hassle from day one after installing our systems,” Ellsworth said. “We have the best warranty in the industry, our products are easy to install and maintain and they for sure don’t need the ongoing battery maintenance and replacement as our competitor’s antiquated lead-acid systems.”
